As good friends and now business partners we have landed with an important and meaningful role in life, which has been the establishment of Ruby and Ollie’s All Abilities Childcare.
The story all began through the journey with our own children Ruby and Ollie who both have diverse developmental challenges. It was in the search for appropriate childcare for Ruby and Ollie that we discovered the major underservice of childcare services for children with additional needs, not only in Brisbane but Australia wide.
Upon this realisation we began to consider, that if we had trouble finding suitable childcare for our own children, surely other parents and caregivers were in our situation too? With this, we set off to do research into how we might be the ones to go about setting up ‘the place’ that provide appropriate care for these special children.
